Trees are dying......Help!

I document trees that are dying in Iowa and 2007 (before the 2008 flood) and 2012 and 2013 have seen great numbers of dying trees here.....1) so we lose the ability of trees and vegetation that depend on the shade to prevent erosion, 2) so we lose the ability of trees (and forests) to absorb CO2 from the atmosphere to reduce global heating, 3) so we lose the ability of trees to cultivate the land, the soils to allow soilmakers and vegetation to make more soil and riparian zones, 4) so we lose the ability of our streambanks to stop soil and clay and rocks from washing into our waterways 5) so that our waterways become clogged 6) so that causes more flooding 7) so that causes more drought 8) so that causes more flooding-drought-desertification cycles that further kill vegetation that we need to prevent erosion, degradation, drought, flooding, desertification 9) so we lose the ability of trees and vegetation to produce breathable oxygen and clean air to keep us healthy and alive 10) so we lose the ability of trees to give rest and peace to urban populations who crave trees to escape 11) so we lose the ability of trees and forests to buffer extreme weather and erosion and 12) on and on and on.....Help! I forgot.....Trees are my friends and they're dying and I'm sad.
